Welcome to Thirsk Bridge Club Web Site

Thirsk Bridge Club was founded in 1977 to promote bridge in the Thirsk district by regular club duplicate bridge evenings. The club is affiliated to the English Bridge Union (EBU) and to the Yorkshire Contract Bridge Association (YCBA). It participates in the YCBA League (two teams) and in the EBU Master points scheme.

The club meets at 7.00pm (for 7.15 Start) each Tuesday at the Methodist Church, St.James’s Green, Thirsk (Monday night sessions currently suspended) Visitors are always sure of a friendly welcome. An evening of Bridge is £2.50 for members, and £3.50 for non-members (SIM Pairs are extra). Tea/Coffee is available, and the club operates a no-smoking policy.

CLUB SEASON

The club season is from the second Tuesday in March until the first Tuesday the following March. During the season there are numerous competitions within the club, which can be won by members only
