Thirsk Bridge Club – Teams A & B

We were in Divisions 6 & 9 in the league in 2011/12 and look forward to a good season. Anyone who is a member of Thirsk Bridge Club is eligible to play in the matches as we are all now members of the EBU/YCBA.

Matches

32 boards are played and opponents changed after each set of 8 boards.

You and your partner should have prepared convention cards available for viewing by your opponents.

Match Refreshments

For home matches the Committee have decided that there will be a charge of £6 (£2 table money and £4 refreshments). Refreshments will be served after the first two rounds and will be prepared by Louise Bumby for us to serve and clear away ourselves. It will be lighter tea than in previous years – sandwiches, quiche, sausage rolls, cakes etc.

Travel Arrangements for Away Matches

Each team usually travels in two cars and it has been customary for each passenger to make a contribution to the driver of £5 towards the cost of fuel.

Please let the appropriate one of us know if you would like to play in a team – even if not on a regular basis.
